Pep Guardiola claims Manchester City could yet still blow the Premier League title.

City supporters, by and large, are not an overly optimistic bunch.

With a ten point lead over Chelsea in fifth, a game in hand against Liverpool, and a favorable run-in, they don't NEED to beat City to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Guardiola seems to have caught the bug.

Despite that setback, just two more wins from their remaining six games will see Guardiola get his hands on the trophy for the first time, regardless of United's final results.

"Football is emotional. We can only try to focus and win at Tottenham and then Swansea". A team that included players such as Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, David Beckham, Iker Casillas and Raul lost six of their last seven games to finish seven points behind Valencia having led by 11 points at one stage.

"People talk a lot without knowing exactly what happened before the game". Real Madrid, many years ago, lose six games in a row and didn't win the league.

However, speaking ahead of Saturday's tough trip to Tottenham, the former Barcelona boss pointed to a famous late collapse from Real Madrid in the 2003-04 season - in which they let slip an eight-point advantage and dropped from first to fourth in the final 12 matches - as proof nothing can be taken for granted. We handled pressure all season.

"Of course it can happen, I assure you". "What I say to the players, and what they show, every game, it that it is not done". It's not necessary to say that.

And there was controversy after the game when City and United players clashed in the changing rooms. "So, of course it can happen, no doubts about that".

"He played the last 20 minutes [against Liverpool] and after the game said: 'I can not run, I have a lot of pain, I can not run.' I don't know about Swansea [City, on Sunday-week] if he'll be ready but hopefully for the last games if we need him and especially for the World Cup".

"I think the referees must be helped. I think they need to be helped, but if the guys made a decision to do that, it will happen like this season". Football is quicker, faster.
