COD: Black Ops 4 could be Battle.net exclusive on the PC

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will allegedly be a Battle Net PC exclusive as it tries to contend with Battle Royale games

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will allegedly be a Battle Net PC exclusive as it tries to contend with Battle Royale games

Activision and Treyarch now have the game's global reveal set for May 17, so there is a high probability that the campaign and multiplayer could be on display then, all the while saving the Black Ops 4 Zombies Mode for E3. Come hear the history of Call of Duty Zombies from the creators themselves at #E3Coliseum!

Seems the organisers jumped the gun a bit, though it is hardly unforgivable.

In fact, with the exception of multiplayer, fans do not even know what modes will be in the game - with many hints towards the tradition campaign mode being scrapped, and a new Battle Royale mode in its place.

To make up for the lack of a campaign, reports suggested Treyarch has another co-op activity planned for Black Ops 4, on top of Zombies, that some assumed would use assets from the cancelled campaign maps.

An official reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set for next week, so it won't be much longer for some more concrete information, but still, it's not great having news outed from other official organizations.

The news is coming from Gaming Intel, with an image of the Black Ops 4 logo underneath Destiny 2 in Battle.net whic his a surprise, as well as the shop featuring a pre-order button.

The move makes sense as both Blizzard and Call of Duty are linked through Activison who apparently want to make the client an all-Activision hub where all their future games will be distributed on PC.
