The Fairfield Police Department found the missing child and returned him to his home.

Allen has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Human and animal feces, urine and garbage littered the floor with debris barricading several parts of the house where the 10 children were removed from.

The children's account resulted in Allen's arrest.

Hurlbut said the children described puncture wounds, burns and "injuries consistent with being shot with a pellet gun".

"I'm horrified at the statements given by these children", said Sharon Henry, the Solano County Chief Deputy District Attorney.

Rogers informed reporters she's shocked police had leveled essentially the most severe accusations in opposition to her husband, as he was not the disciplinarian of the household. Rogers was released after posting $10,000 bail following her March 31 arrest.

After returning him, the officials searched the boy's home due to concerns regarding safety and health of the child and his siblings.

The police were made aware of the terrible conditions of the household after a 12-year-old boy was brought back to the house. Officers said the children were living in squalor and unsafe conditions.

According to Associated Press, the mother stated that the house was in that condition because she tore it apart while looking for her missing son, who was, according to her, angry because his tablet computer was taken away. "Once that fear sets in you don't know what to do".

Nevertheless, the California father still has to answer for all the charges, which include child torture and imprisonment.

The mother, Ina Rogers, 30, of Fairfield, was arrested and booked in the Solano County jail on suspicion of child neglect, and the 10 children were placed in the protective custody of Solano County Child Welfare Services, police said. According to Rogers, the children are now staying with family members.

She says police arrested a mother and a father after they say ten children were rescued from "horrible" living conditions.

Rogers showed reporters the inside of her home, which she claims was left messy by police after their search. "And so I've had many people question my right to parent and I feel this whole situation has exploded". At this moment, he's in the county jail on a $5.2 million bail.

The father, Jonathan Allen, 29, faces felony charges of torture and child abuse and the 30-year-old mother Ina Rogers faces child neglect charges. Rogers has 3 older children from a previous relationship.

David and Louise Turpin previously pleaded not guilty to torture, child abuse and other charges in a case that has drawn global attention since the couple's 17-year-old daughter escaped the family's Perris, California, home in January. Hurlbut said he believed the children were home-schooled. "I strive, I thrive on being a good parent to my children". But absolutely not, my husband is an incredible person. "I am not going to allow this to break us and I am not going to stop fighting".

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department.
