"As far as what I'm hearing there was no auto involved", Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

The official was briefed on the investigation but wasn't authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Officials haven't released information about the person who was killed.

The fire has been put out but a bomb squad and a hazmat team remained at the scene to assess the area's safety, Bommarito said. The cause of the blast is being investigated.

Bommarito could not provide the status of the three individuals taken to the hospital. No children were injured, officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear how many people were hurt, but authorities said there were at least two patients transported.

A day care center nearby was unaffected, but working to reunite parents with their children.
