On the other hand, the season 5 finale will feature the highly-anticipated wedding of Amy and Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg).

NBC was admittedly "treading water" in the winter between editions of "The Voice", during the last few years, Greenblatt said. He also broke the news that the reality competition series "Project Runway" would be returning to its original home base at Bravo, where it ran from 2004 to 2008, after airing for almost a decade on Lifetime.

The drama "Blacklist", said to be on the fence to return, is on the midseason schedule. All are products of television veteran Dick Wolf's production studio.

The fifth season ending on 20 may 2018.

Co-created by Dan Goor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has picked up two Golden Globes (including Outstanding Comedy Series), won two Emmys (for Outstanding Stunt Coordination), and helped actor Andre Braugher, who portrays the tough but lovable Captain Raymond Holt, earn three Emmy nominations (for Outstanding Supporting Actor). It stars Ryan Eggold of "The Blacklist" and is inspired by Bellevue Hospital in New York City.

While we wait to see what life at NBC holds for the "Nine-Nine" crew, you can sit back and rewatch all the antics from the precinct over the last five years, streaming now on Hulu. Saturday evenings are reserved for Dateline Saturday Night Mystery and back-to-back showings of Saturday Night Live, with Sunday dedicated to football (Football Night in America and Sunday Night Football).

The Futon Critic was reporting that ABC canceled midseason shows "The Crossing" and "Deception" along with "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World", "Marvel's Inhumans", "The Mayor" and "Ten Days in the Valley". All landed on the scrap heap. Fox did not own the pricey-ish comedy.

"Ultimately we felt we did not have the exact right place to schedule", the show having performed best on Sunday, where Fox made a decision to give animated Bob's Burgers the plum time period and "chance to grow". "We just think it's a really amusing show" with general appeal, he said in announcing the network's 2018-19 schedule with fellow chairman and CEO Dana Walden.

"Last Man Standing" was actually dropped by ABC because the network was losing money on the show. The network needed to find the right spot for it, she said.

Entertainment executives garnered headlines and fan accolades for rescuing the Mike Schur comedy Brookyn Nine-Nine from the scrapheap when the show was axed by Fox one day earlier. TT Games Global Community Manager Bear Parker assumed that the show was a goner, and he quickly recreated Brooklyn Nine-Nine's opening sequence in LEGO style animation as a tribute.
