Her death occurred only six months since she was suspended from her position as a teacher at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School after a police report was leaked that contained information about her and and the teen.

Her partner called off the engagement just months later.

A medical examiner confirmed that DelTondo died from several gunshot wounds to her torso. Police had been called in around 10:30 P.M. local time where they found DelTondo; she was found shot after getting out of her auto, with neighbors claiming they heard around 10 to 12 gunshots.

The death has stunned neighbors in the quiet neighborhood and police are hunting for clues to the identity of the killer.

The teacher was suspended from her job at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School in the fall after confidential information was leaked from the Aliquippa Police Department involving her and a 17-year-old, according to ABC News.

Authorities in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, said officers on patrol at around 1.50am on February 6, 2016 saw a auto parked up outside the old Aliquippa Hospital.

"It's shameful that this woman was painted with a police report that had been written that did not result in criminal charges", Lozier said.

Inside was DelTondo and the teen.

The report said she was busted with the teenager at 2am.

The incident report named the teen and it was confirmed that he was not registered at the charter school.

Flirty texts and Snapchat messages later showed that the pair had a "relationship". Inside the auto they found the teenager and DelTondo.

She begged officers not to tell her fiancé "because he would get mad".

No charges were brought against DelTondo over the incident, and police drove the teen home that evening. Police are still searching for the suspect and are actively investigating the incident as a homicide, WPXI reported.

Though DelTondo was never charged in the incident, she was suspended in November 2017 after Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School Chief Executive Officer Brian Hayden contacted ChildLine, which "is part of a mandated statewide child protective services program created to accept child abuse referrals and general child well-being concerns, and transmit the information quickly to the appropriate investigating agency", according to the organization's website. "We're getting video cameras, we are downloading information, we are interviewing witnesses". We express our sympathy to her family, friends, and coworkers.

An investigation ensued, which led to DelTondo's suspension.

DelTondo and her family also made headlines in February 2017 after a dustup with the bridal shop assisting in her wedding planning. A police report from 2016 said the two were found in a "steamed-up" parked auto around 2 a.m. But four months later, DelTondo and her fiance called off the wedding.

Officials say it will take some time for investigators to collect the forensic evidence from the phones that were taken to Harrisburg. According to the report, her family wanted to go big when DelTondo got engaged.
