Стэн Ли судится с бывшей компанией за 1 миллиард долларов

In a complaint filed today in Los Angeles, legendary comic creator Stan Lee is suing Pow! Entertainment, a production company that he co-founded in 2001. Inc.to gain "the exclusive right to use Lee's name, identity, image and likeness on a worldwide basis in perpetuity".

The lawsuit, which was obtained by CNBC, alleges that the defendants used Lee's name and likeness to sell the company to China-based Camsing International past year.

According to the lawsuit, Lee was unable to actually read the document due to macular degeneration, and he doesn't remember anyone reading it to him, suggesting that his signature may have been forged, copied or induced.

"While the Illegitimate Document purports to contain Lee's signature, Lee never knowingly signed it", Grant continued. He adds that Duffy and Champion "were two of the opportunists" and preyed "on his infirmities while he was in a state of despair". The suit hopes to roll back the agreement and collect damages up to one billion dollars.

Lee also acknowledged that someone had apparently "hacked" his Facebook and Instagram accounts, meaning that anything posted by those pages is not aunthentic or authorized in any way.

Yesterday, news broke Stan Lee was preparing for yet another day in court.

The suit also alleged that Olivarez "convinced" Lee to set up a "false charity" called Hands of Respect, which the suit claims was nothing more than a vehicle to shift Lee's money to Olivarez. Entertainment without the knowledge of Li used his name and image to boost the value of the asset during the negotiations about selling the company to Chinese investors from Camsing International.

In the lawsuit, Lee alleges that he had been asked by the defendants to sign non-exclusive rights to his name to facilitate the deal, but the agreement ultimately allowed for exclusive rights.

Lee's lawsuit mentioned that in 2017, POW! This latest lawsuit is just the latest in a string of odd occurrences in Lee's personal and professional life. In April, Stan was forced to deny reports he was a victim of elder abuse and that his daughter and several other associates, including Jerardo, were taking advantage of him financially.

A tweet from Lee's official Twitter account on Tuesday referenced identity theft. I want everyone to know whoever is writing them is a fraud and is impersonating me. "He gave me a check as a thank-you". You guys are my true superheroes.
