R. Kelly is one of pop music's best-selling artists.

Rodgers emphasized that R Kelly did not act his age when she was around him.

According to the suit obtained by CNN, Faith Rodgers says she was 19 when she first met the singer a year ago after Kelly performed in San Antonio, Texas.

Faith Rodgers says that she met Kelly when she was nineteen and began a year long relationship with him - initially over the phone.

Kelly sexually abused a woman, locked her in rooms and vehicles for punishment, and infected her with herpes, the woman said in a lawsuit filed in NY.

A woman told Rolling Stone previous year that she was in a long-term relationship with the singer that was sexually and physically abusive. Even though Rodgers was screened for STIs prior to her encounter with R. Kelly, Rodgers found out that she had herpes.

20-year-old, Faith Rodgers, alleges that the musician abused her "mentally, sexually and verbally", filming her against her will in "deviant and compromising sexual contact".

She recorded a phone call with the singer, allegedly at the behest of the police, in hopes he'd admit to giving her an STD, but he refused to address it, telling her, "I don't know about no situation". She is suing for sexual battery, false imprisonment, and failure to disclose an STD.

Rodgers is the latest woman to accuse Kelly of sexual abuse.

Kelly has denied sexual assault allegations, and in response to Sampson and Jones' claims, his publicist stated, "R. Kelly has close friendships with a number of women who are strong, independent, happy, well cared for and free to come and go as they please".

In addition to that during their nearly one year of dating, she was abused verbally, mentally as well as sexually. A female assistant would stand guard outside of cars, studios, and rooms that Kelly would lock her in for punishment if she did not meet his sexual expectations.

While there, Kelly allegedly engaged in "non-consensual oral and vaginal intercourse" and failed to tell Rodgers that he was infected with herpes, which she later contracted.

Kelly previously settled out of court over other abuse claims.

Meanwhile, despite Spotify's efforts to not promote R. Kelly's music, the R&B singer's streaming numbers on the service remain unchanged.

Rodgers claims Kelly also routinely locked her in a van.

Last month, the #MuteRKelly campaign was launched.

Rodgers appeared on CBS This Morning on Tuesday and spoke about her time in R.Kelly's alleged sex cult.
