Salah heads to Spain to undergo treatment

Mohamed Salah has posted a positive social media update on his injury recovery ahead of the World Cup.

Salah left the game in tears after a tussle with Sergio Ramos saw the Liverpool forward driven into the ground shoulder first and the Reds were forced to play an hour without their talisman.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named in Egypt's 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in Russian Federation.

Salah missed Egypt's goalless draw with Colombia last Friday as the North Africans continue their World Cup preparations.

Then there was that coming together that was either shithousery by Ramos, a calculated moment of genius, Salah's punishment for breaking his fast or a bit of an accident.

Russian Federation will host the World Cup for the first time in history, with games set to take place on 12 arenas in 11 cities.

'Salah is not easy to replace, no doubt about that.

"Salah will be in the World Cup, God willing, and won't be absent for more than three weeks", it said on Twitter without giving further details.

'We tried to manage it using the whole team so it could try to respond better.

Liverpool physio Ruben Pons, however, does not believe Salah is angry with the Spaniard as it was an accidental challenge.

But after undergoing treatment he has been selected for his country's Group A campaign where they will face hosts Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
