This year's CFDA Awards saw supermodel Naomi Campbell take out the Fashion Icon Award, while Kim Kardashian West is set to receive theinaugural Fashion Influencer honour. Since her iconic appearance at the MET Gala in 2019 dressed in Vivienne Westwood, her style has focused more on trend-led fashion.

During her opening monologue, Rae hilariously threw the rapper under the bus for his recent controversial Twitter commentary and his remarks to TMZ that he believes slavery is "a choice".

She joked about being in her "happy place" in an Instagram with friends Tuesday.

West wasn't the only target of Rae's jokes, though.

"I will continue to push for diversity, and equality, in this industry". "Once again I am being attacked for presenting new ideas".

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian posed together on the CFDA red carpet, and had their famous Kardashian scowls on.

The lyric is from Boris Gardiner's 1973 song "Every N-a is a Star" and was recently made famous by Kendrick Lamar who used the sample on his album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

With the help of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, Kardashian's hair was pulled up into a textured, messy high ponytail, a far cry from her normal super sleek hair looks. When she later made the cover of Vogue, she noted, she made sure to send the publicist an autographed copy. You know, to grow up and see her as a young, dark skin girl. "I'm living. Oh, and her Kanye jabs". "It's an honor to be here".

Kim Kardashian, who is being honored with the Fashion Influencer award, arrived in a cream crop top and long skirt which showed off her taut tummy.

"I'm going to look how I want to look - it's going to be on my own terms", she explains.
