Julieth Gonzalez Theran was doing a live cross in Moscow when an unidentified man kissed and groped her before running away.

It all happened in a flash according to a report published by Deutsche Welle (DW) on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

Colombian reporter Julieth Gonzalez Theran was delivering a report from the Russian city of Saransk for German outlet Deutsche Welle, when the incident occurred.

"I had been at the scene for two hours to prepare for the broadcast and there had been no interruptions", she said.

"But when we were live that man took advantage of it".

As she speaks to the camera, a man in a baseball cap and blazer and tie comes into shot and holds her right breast. She posted the video on her Instagram page, with a caption in Spanish, that roughly translates in English to this: "RESPECT!" We are equally valuable and professional ...

Bibiana Steinhaus, Germany's first female referee in the Bundesliga soccer league, later commented on the incident and blamed the male-dominated sports culture for the man's actions.

Footage shows the man move towards Theran without hesitation before placing his hand on her chest and kissing her cheek.

"I share the joy of football, but we must identify the limits of affection and harassment".

Logan's assault prompted CPJ to collect data on victims. "Don't kid yourself that similar misogynist things do not happen". Salazar-Ferro said they've since learned it's a worldwide problem ― especially at events like the one Gonzalez Theran has been covering.
