DJI Mavic 2 drone leak confirms Pro and Zoom models

The ad reveals two Mavic 2 models - the Zoom and the Pro.

Now thanks to a render obtained by the folks at Photo Rumors, we have a better idea of what the upcoming drone could look like.

The description from the Argos catalog calls out some other specifications as well, including 1080p video transmission with a transmission distance of up to five miles. The Zoom will come with a 2x optical zoom lens, while the Pro model will include a Hasselblad camera with a 1-inch sensor. A few United Kingdom residents noticed that the Argos catalog included a pretty big ad for the Mavic 2 drone which leaves nothing to the imagination and clarifies even the past leaks. It will turn the sky into your creative canvas. The drone can fly at up to 45mph, it's compact, and reportedly offers a 31-minute max flight time, about four minutes more flight time than the previous version. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing with APAS and Active Track 2.0 give you the confidence to take to sky and capture your moment.

However, no mention has been made of the rumored removable gimbal or the maximum video recording quality - we can only assume it will follow in the footsteps of the Mavic Air and the Mavic Pro and feature 4K shooting. DJI hasn't talked about the drone at all, and a launch event originally scheduled for July 18 - which many thought was for the Mavic 2 - was cancelled.

Despite confirming the specs of the drone, DJI are yet to reveal any information about when the Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro will be formally announced.

In a separate leak, an image has popped up on the German DJI store appearing to show an "Enterprise Edition" Mavic 2. It can, however, transmit 1080p footage up to 8Km away to the pilot on the ground.

The firm did schedule an event for this month, but postponed it.

But postponing a launch is one thing for sites like Pocket-lint, but it's quite another if you'd already printed a catalogue with the details inside.
