God of War Gets New Game Plus on August 20

New Game+ arrives August 20, 2018, as part of a free patch. In order to access New Game Plus you'll, of course, have to beat the main story campaign (it doesn't matter what difficulty you play on). Sony said that players' opinions and requests for a New Game+ mode had been heard and that one was in the works, but a release date for it wasn't known. While that might be enough for some folks, others might be tempted back with New Game Plus mode, which allows you to start over from the beginning with all of your equipment and upgrades. To start a New Game Plus, you'll need to have finished the story. You'll be able to skip cutscenes in this mode as well, and in fact, anyone will be able to bypass them in any game mode as long as they've completed the game at least once.

With New Game+ comes along a host of new gear, more hard enemies, and cinematic skipping!

Test your skills against higher level enemies; some of which might even have a few new tricks up their sleeves! That means you keep your "armours, enchantments, talismans, resources and abilities". Make sure to play around with the new armors and enchantments, as well, to explore the new customization options. Plus, you can make the father and son stronger better by gathering the Skap Slag resource to make and upgrade equipment. Lastly, users can now skip all of the in-game cinematics in normal and New Game Plus after they've beaten the game once.

God of War is now available on PS4.
