Fahrenheit 11/9: first trailer for Michael Moore's Trump documentary

The 11/9 in the title refers to day following Trump's election to the office of President - and also serves as a wink to Moore's documentary about George W. Bush and the War on Terror, Fahrenheit 9/11.

Michael Moore is prepping a documentary, Fahrenheit 11/9, about President Trump and says the leader of the free world should be anxious. Trump won the presidency by just 77,000 combined votes from those three states.

Fahrenheit 11/9 hits theaters on September 21, 2018. To make the Trump documentary, Moore has reunited with his acclaimed team from Fahrenheit ‪9/11 - Oscar-nominated documentary directors/producers Meghan O'Hara, Tia Lessin and Carl Deal. "This is the movie that will end the madness".

The trailer includes footage of Trump rallies, neo-Nazi protests, Roger Stone, Parkland shooting survivors, and Moore himself hosing down the gated lawn of MI governor Rick Snyder with water from Flint.

To call Michael Moore one of Donald Trump's most outspoken critics is an understatement.

In his conclusion, Trump indicated to the news outlet that another of the film's underlying messages will be that it will organized action, not hope, that will be crucial in defeating Trump.

He also added that journalism schools do not teach students how to handle an "authoritarian leader" and hopes that this film shows viewers the "danger" of President Trump where the execution of their jobs is concerned. "Our media has no idea what it is up against", he continued.

Moore has previously said Trump will win the next presidential election in 2020 but speaking to chat show host Bill Maher in June, he said: "I'm finishing my movie and getting it out before the midterms because I want millions of people to get to the polls".

Take a look. It's not yet known if "Fahrenheit 11/9" will receive an Irish theatrical release.
