Painfully awkward midfield talk doesn't help Cam Newton feud

It appears Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton won't be squashing their beef anytime soon. That meeting was obviously going to be a little awkward after The Athletic published comments from Benjamin slamming his fit with the Panthers and Newton's football IQ. That may not be the case anymore, as Newton didn't seem able to say what he wanted when approaching Benjamin in-person. The receiver, who spent three years in Carolina, trashed Newton. I don't know, man ...

It appears that Newton wasn't thrilled with what Benjamin told The Athletic recently about his former quarterback.

"I mean, I felt like I would've been even more successful if ..." Any other accurate quarterback like Rodgers or Eli Manning or Big Ben - anybody! - quarterbacks with knowledge, that know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball. He responded on social media in his Instagram story.

Newton however finished with the MVP award during the 2015 season when Benjamin wasn't playing. When Benjamin left Newton hanging, Newton asked for privacy and had an apparent argument with his former teammate.

First the video. Then the responses, which weren't very kind to the Buffalo star, in general, although Benjamin scored a first quarter touchdown and jumped into the stands to celebrate.
