One lucky person could win McDonald's for life in a new contest

The Mc Gold Card is real and it could get you free McDonald’s for life

The Mc Gold Card is real and it could get you free McDonald’s for life

McDonald's is offering one of the coveted, and mythical "McGold Cards" to one lucky victor, guaranteeing that person free food for life, WCAU-TV (Philadelphia) is reporting. The card give away is exclusive to the McDonald's App, which allows customers to customize their orders, get exclusive App deals and place their order ahead of time from their phones. The card is valued at $52,350 and entitles the victor to two free meals per week for 50 years.

Every day you order at McDonald's from August 10 to 24, you are automatically entered in the sweepstakes to win free McDonald's for life. In both cases, hopefuls are limited to just one entry per day.

"One potential victor will be selected from among all eligible Entries received for the entire Entry period, in a random prize drawing on or about August 29, 2018, conducted by an independent organization selected by Sponsor". And no, this doesn't mean you just get a bunch of Big Macs. "I don't think it's going to do anything to encourage the app usage".

The contest is similar to one run by coffee chain Starbucks, which was called Starbucks for Life, only not as generous. It will award that person free McDonald's for life. The card is actually a gold plated phone case that will be awarded to the competition's victor.

There's also a contest for nonmembers, where five will win free drinks for a month, worth $155. In addition, the victor "will receive a custom gold-0plated "McGold Card" phone case".

And it will only last for 50 years. The rules state to, "put only the date you are sending the email in numeric format (mm/dd/yy) in the subject line and your first/last name in the body of the email".

Nevertheless, entering the contest takes a minimal amount of effort and it could earn you a whole lot of McDonald's.

Follow the instructions on the game page. Stars turn into free drinks and food items with the loyalty program. You have between August 10 and August 14 to get those entries in.
