Called "A Galaxy Event" and held on 11 October, the only official clue to what the device might be is the strapline "4x fun".

The invite is to an event on October 11th, with the event to be live streamed as usual on the Samsung YouTube account and their samsung.com/galaxy site as well.

Samsung and other device makers are looking for ways to boost momentum in a sluggish smartphone market.

Samsung will unveil a new Galaxy device on October 11.

So maybe Samsung's mysterious invite is referring to a plethora of cameras, or maybe not.

Samsung did just give its latest smartwatch the Galaxy moniker, so it may be a separate part of the business that's also being absorbed into the G name.

Samsung has already confirmed it's set to announce its first foldable phone (codenamed the Galaxy X) before the end of the year, but now we expect that to come in November.

There are a wide variety of exciting options for the subject of this event, but considering how soon it's coming after the release of the Galaxy Note 9 and the fact that it seems to be online only, it's hard to imagine Samsung having another flagship product up its sleeve.

The Galaxy S10 could become the first smartphone from Samsung to use a triple rear camera setup. I don't know, the number of colours that the Galaxy S10 is available in.

While it's not revealed what the "4x fun" in the event invite means but if we are to believe leakster Ice Universe, who has been reliable when it comes to Samsung-related leaks, then the South Korean giant is all set to launch a phone with four cameras.
