Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, two Russians over the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, conducted a freakish interview Thursday.

Britain quickly rejected the claims made by the two men, Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov, in an interview on the Kremlin-funded RT channel.

A Foreign Office spokesman said that the two men had been identified as the prime suspects and it is clear they are GRU officers who "used a devastatingly toxic, illegal chemical weapons on the streets of our country".

They've been accused of acting as Russian intelligence agents and attacking a former double agent in Salisbury, but the two men say that they're just regular businessmen who work in sports nutrition.

Police say they arrived at Salisbury railway station around 11.48am on Sunday, March 4.

"I would like to appeal to them so that they hear us today".

Several hours after the interview with Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov aired, online impersonators flocked on the page, leaving tongue-in-cheek posts on the TripAdvisor page of the Salisbury's Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

May spokeswoman Alison Donnelly told reporters Thursday the United Kingdom remains confident "These men are officers of the Russian military intelligence service who used a devastatingly toxic chemical weapon on the streets of our country". "There's the famous Salisbury cathedral, famous not only in Europe but in the whole world, it's famous for its 123m spire, it's famous for its clock, one of the first ever created in the world that's still working". They said they had fallen victim to a "fantastical coincidence". "What is our fault?"

The affair returned to the headlines in July when a woman near Salisbury, Dawn Sturgess, died and her partner Charlie Rowley fell ill after Mr Rowley found a counterfeit bottle of Nina Ricci perfume containing the Novichok nerve agent and brought it home.

Their appearance Thursday came a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian officials knew the identities of the two men.

Mr Boshirov said: "The customs are checking everything, they would have questions as to why men have women's perfume in their luggage".

An except of the full interview was shown on RT News on Thursday morning, and an additional transcript can be seen here. "But the Petrov/Borishov statements are not credible and don't match the widely accepted intelligence we have on these individuals". We don't know who actually poisoned the Skripals.

British security services had named the men as Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, but said these were likely to be aliases. Only this week, we heard an official statement from London, which said that they did not plan to employ the legal assistance mechanism and send any requests to Russian Federation.

He claimed his life had been turned "upside down" and added: "We're afraid of going out, we fear for ourselves, our lives and lives of our loved ones". They are taken to Salisbury District Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

Britain's Crown Prosecution Service has charged the two men, who are alleged to be members of the Russian intelligence agency, with conspiracy to murder, among other charges. "Sadly, it's what we've come to expect", Prime Minister Theresa May's spokesman said.

Last week, Britain announced charges against the two men.

"We were drenched up to our knees", Boshirov said.
