USA | Woodward book goes on sale as ex-Trump aides push back

Bob Woodward's new book

Bob Woodward's new book"Fear Trump in the White House" was in hot demand in bookstores in the Berkshires and elsewhere Tuesday. It quickly jumped to No. 1 on the Amazon best-seller list

Eric Trump's use of the term was also criticized by conservative commentators such as "Daily Wire" editor Ben Shapiro and the New York Post's Seth Mandel. "Fear" had more preorders than any other book in Simon & Schuster's history, according to the publisher, which has previously released such bestsellers as Hillary Clinton's "Living History" and Walter Isaacson's "Steve Jobs". "He'll make you sweat on the phone", Al Jazeera quoted an excerpt from Woodward's newly launched book. As with "Fire and Fury" and other anti-Trump books, the president has condemned "Misfortune" as unfounded. "While I generally enjoy reading fiction, this is a uniquely Washington brand of literature, and his anonymous sources do not lend credibility".

The book sold more than 750,000 copies on its first day of publication and broke Simon & Schuster's preorder sales record. "This is a clear signal that the Trump Administration is more than okay with President el-Sissi's targeting of human rights defenders".

"But don't you think people look through the fact that you can write a sensational nonsense book, CNN will definitely have you on there, because they love to trash the president", said Eric Trump to Doocy. Speaking with his former attorney John Dowd, Trump reportedly said: "Dowd, remember who I'm talking to".

After a "Fox & Friends" segment attacking Democratic U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California, Trump repeated his version of a stump speech, claiming Democrats have no message, while touting the economy's performance.

However, the news reported by America's Last Line of Defense is fake.

"I mean, is that really where we are?"

Bob Woodward committed on Friday to releasing the audiotapes backing the claims made in his book "Fear" if any of his sources request him to.

Eric Trump bashed investigative journalist Bob Woodward on Wednesday for penning a harrowing account of his father President Donald Trump's White House operations, and in the process used an anti-Semitic synonym for money.

"[He] will make you sweat on the phone", Trump continued, in his conversation with Dowd, before making an impression of the Egyptian president.

As The Hill noted, the White House called Woodward's book "reckless", threatening to take legal action against the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. Woodward joins Judy Woodruff to discuss his reporting.
