Rumours now point to a 5.5 inch screen for the Pixel 3 and 6.7 inch screen on the XL.

The Google Pixel 3 XL will come with a slightly bigger 6.3-inch display with 1080p resolution.

The phone is expected to have two front-facing cameras with each 8-megapixel sensors, while the rear camera comes with 12.2MP sensors. Incidentally, the design will still have a "chin" and will not be as edgeless as the iPhone X. Camera wise, the Pixel 3 XL will reportedly be no different than the Pixel 3. The Google Pixel 2 ran on the older Snapdragon 835 chip, but Qualcomm says its latest version is 25 per cent faster - which means the Pixel 3 could be noticeably more powerful. Engadget recently got its hand on a pre-released Pixel 3 XL unit that was being sold by a shop in Hong Kong.

Besides a great camera, both phones are rumored to come with Active Edge support; a feature that lets you launch apps by just squeezing it a little.

Last year, Google announced the Pixelbook Chromebook two-in-one. The new Chrome OS tablet "Google Pixel Slate" will have detachable keyboard, which likewise proposes that the Pixel Slate will accompany a Blue-coloured Pixel Pen. We also saw the tablet in all its glory thanks to accessory maker Brydge, which appears to be making an attachable keyboard accessory for the Pixel Slate.

Google's smartphones are targeted at the premium end of the market and have proved pretty popular among Australian consumers despite their high price tag. The existing Pixel lineup is known for taking the best selfies in the business and it is no surprise that Google would like to take this further. The device would contain a speaker for voice-based interactions along with a 7-inch speaker. The smart display will add to Google's current lineup of smart speakers that includes the Google Home Mini and Home Max. The first images of the new device have also leaked.
