Beierle lamented in a video titled "The Dangers of Diversity" what he viewed as the rise of "foreigners" in the USA and praised nations that maintain one "ethnic character". However, the man speaking in the videos looks like Beierle and biographical details mentioned in the videos match known facts about Beierle, including details about his military service.

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, a Democrat campaigning for governor of Florida against Republican former congressman Ron DeSantis, said in a tweet Friday evening that he would be stepping away from his campaign to return to Tallahassee.

DeLeo said police are asking for anyone who saw something unusual around the time of the shooting to contact police.

Police said Saturday that Beierle had entered the yoga studio posing as a customer and abruptly started shooting people with a handgun.

At other points, he names girls and women he has known since eighth grade, complaining about their "collective treachery" and saying they can "justify anything if you offend their sensibilities".

Other class members then fought back and Beierle pistol-whipped one man before turning the gun on himself.

"There are no words to express the shock and grief we feel after learning of the deaths of Maura Binkley and Dr. Nancy Van Vessem".

FSU said her research was focused on restructuring healthcare for people with multiple chronic diseases.

Authorities are still trying figure out why he mounted the deadly attack.

Binkley was a 21-year-old student at Florida State, according to school President John Thrasher. Police were searching Beirele's residence in Deltona, located east of Orlando.

The shooting was in a small shopping center on a corner of Thomasville and Bradford Roads.

Two other victims were in stable condition, and three had been released from the hospital Saturday, said cops.

Charges were dismissed for both of Beierle's university arrests, but he was arrested again by Tallahassee police in 2016 and agreed to a plea deal for misdemeanour battery. The first time was in 2012, when two women accused him of grabbing their buttocks on campus, the Democrat reported. Beierle denied intentionally grabbing anyone and said he might have accidentally bumped into someone.

Police have identified the women who were killed Friday when a gunman stormed a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida, and opened fire.

Mr DeLeo said authorities are investigating possible motives.
