We're not boxing him.

Undefeated five-weight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather should move into the realm of mixed martial arts and fight undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov inside the octagon, says UFC president Dana White.

Recall Khabib Nurmagomedov challenged Floyd Mayweather, the American immediately agreed. You come fight - a real fight'.

"If Mayweather wants to fight, let him come to fight".

In October Nurmagomedov defended his UFC belt in a fight against the Irishman Conor McGregor.

But that hasn't stopped speculation swirling around who the Dagestani will fight next.

White is now focused on Nurmagomedov handling his business with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, whom he landed in hot water with after he leapt over the Octagon fence to get at Conor McGregor's corner after he submitted the Irishman at UFC 229 in early October.

The legendary American boxer boasts off an incredible undefeated 50-0 career record in the professional arena, while on the other hand, Nurmagomedov holds a 27-0 winning streak in UFC.

Only two of the top 20 best-selling pay-per-view (PPV) events in combat sports history were booked outside of the city, which shows that 90% of the world's biggest fights happen in Las Vegas. With the stakes set so high, the rumors of Nurmagmedov's next fight could be record-breaking, at least according to his manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Despite the suspension, White has already suggested the Russian should face American lightweight Tony Ferguson before thinking of a fight with Mayweather. I think, as a global superstar, Khabib bypass him.

Meanwhile, White hinted a rematch between McGregor and Khabib is unlikely and that the Russian champion would be facing Tony Ferguson (26-3) next.
