The Lakers have had a better offensive rating without LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers were blown out at home by the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, but LeBron James wasn't about to let another loss spoil his evening plans.

SALT LAKE CITY-The Utah Jazz were terrible defensively and bad offensively as they lost their fourth straight game Monday night.

Leonard jammed his left foot late in the fourth quarter of Toronto's win over the Phoenix Suns Friday night, sitting out the game's final 2:42 as a precaution. That levels the playing field considerably and, while much of the casual intrigue with this contest is out the window on account of both teams playing short-handed, this is now a battle of two (very) deep basketball teams with the ability to play quality basketball without their stars in the mix.

Here's why. Bron and the Lakers lost to the Raptors 121 to 107. and LeBron only put up 18 points (he didn't even play the 4th quarter). "They came out and just hit us right in the mouth", James told reporters.

James said his Lakers could've played better in certain areas against the Raptors, especially on the defensive end of the floor. "We got a W, and I'm happier now than scoring a lot of points [in a loss]".

Raptors: Leonard has sat out three of his first 10 games with Toronto, missing two games last month to manage his workload coming back from last season's injury struggles. OG Anunoby took Leonard's spot in the starting lineup and contributed seven points. Fans at courtside included Denzel Washington, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Ariel Winter, middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and UFC featherweight title contender Brian Ortega, who will fight Max Holloway for the belt in Toronto on December 8.

This was set to be Leonard's only visit to Staples Center to play the Lakers this season - the lone time the fans here would've had a chance to serenade the league's best two-way wing player with cheers ahead of him being an unrestricted free agent next summer.
