He averaged just over six yards per attempt and threw a costly interception that was returned for a touchdown. Another victory for the surging Chargers, holding off Wilson's late rally for a 25-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. But he missed a game in Arizona earlier this season, was questionable entering Sunday's game because of a hip injury, and while he wound up playing, he couldn't finish the game. Philip Rivers was the offensive standout of the match for the Chargers, as he passed for 306 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was largely thanks to the strong Seattle secondary, but they proved to have no match for Keenan Allen, and Rivers regular turned to him in times of need. The success made it back-to-back wins for Seattle.

Gordon averaged 7.1 yards per carry and ran through huge holes in the second half. Seattle had won four of five following a 0-2 start. Seattle had just 53 yards rushing in the second and third quarters combined after running for 45 yards on the opening drive of the game. "We saw the opportunities to fill the spots and we thought we could keep moving and going", Carroll said. Wilson hit Nick Vannett on a 6-yard TD with 1:50 remaining to cut the Chargers' lead to one score.

Despite all that, Wilson almost pulled off another fourth-quarter rally. And when it does, it figures that Seattle would be able to lean toward an aerial alternative. Seattle's J.R. Sweezy was called for false start backing the play up to the 6, and Wilson's final attempt for Moore in the back of the end zone was partially tipped by Addae and fell incomplete. "We had a chance but it didn't work", Wilson said. "Anytime it's that close, your hands kind of really don't have time to react".
