According to trade analyst Girish Johar, the Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial has the "fastest 50 on cards".

The big release this Diwali is the Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs of Hindostan, which released Thursday.

Big, bloated, bombastic, Thugs of Hindostan is a period saga that banks exclusively upon action and spectacle for impact. Although Aamir Khan's character Firangi seems to be modeled around Jack Sparrow, the action sequences of Thugs is nowhere close to Pirates of the Caribbean. The film critic rated Thugs of Hindostan with 2 stars. But now we have to wait and watch whether Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan will become successful to break the record of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2:The Conclusion at the box office.

Amitabh Bachchan has little to do except fight and deliver some really loaded dialogues, Katrina Kaif has an inconsequential special appearance, Fatima Sana Shaikh shines but only briefly and Aamir Khan's jokes fall flat. Taran Adarsh tweeted, 'All that glitters is NOT gold. #TOH is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!' Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that's about it... "Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits..." the tweet read.

However, reportedly Aamir isn't confident about this film like his previous flicks and with the trailer getting a divide talk, the suspense continues. With all of these, the movie seems promising and is expected to be a money spinner at the box office.
