Tuesday's morning skate might be a little bit awkward now.

As a major sponsor of the team, Uber ads continued to blast out like they regularly do in the Senators' home barn, even in the aftermath of the seven players - including Chris Wideman, Matt Duchene, Thomas Chabot and Alex Formenton, among others - being unknowingly and unlawfully recorded from a camera inside the vehicle of one of the ride-sharing company's drivers.

The video showed the players bad mouthing the team's assistant coach, Martin Raymond, while in the vehicle.

The team did not immediately respond to the Canadian Press's request for comment on Monday night. In an application for a peace bond filed May 4 in an Ottawa court, Melinda Karlsson alleges that Monika Caryk posted hundreds of derogatory online messages aimed at her and her husband.

"I can't talk about it, but I think we're all very sorry for Marty Raymond and we think he's an wonderful guy", White said post-game Tuesday.

"Do you notice that when [Raymond] runs the video, if you actually do pay attention, he doesn't ever teach you anything?" asked Wideman.

"From the bottom of my heart, expressing my apologies to Marty Raymond for my role and for what happened that night", Wideman told reporters.

"Duchene later adds that he "(hasn't) paid attention in three weeks" during Raymond's meetings. Ottawa's penalty killing ranks 30th in the league. Two games later, they lost 9-2 to the Buffalo Sabres.

Senators head coach Guy Boucher also issued a statement, saying the team has "every confidence in Marty Raymond's coaching". "Right now, it's an off-the-cuff conversation with members of the Ottawa Senators, but it could be a private conversation between husband and spouse - what about between lawyers and clients and attorney-client privilege and all the stuff that comes into that, so we need better guidelines". "We haven't been playing our best hockey so maybe this can help this team move forward.", Stone said. We are grateful for the support of our fans and organization. We've dealt with things and everything in (the room) is good.

The leaked video of the players' frustration at their coaching staff, systems and culture is the latest mark on the franchise's record, as it was forced to first trade forward Mike Hoffman after a feud between his girlfriend and the wife of teammate Erik Karlsson went public. Owner Eugene Melnyk threatening to move the team, a freaky alleged cyberbullying incident involving the wife of former star captain Erik Karlsson and harassment allegations against former assistant general manager Randy Lee are just the tip of the iceberg.

"I just think people are naive if they think players don't talk about coaches and, by the same token, coaches don't talk about players".
