Last week, the Los Angeles Lakers made the acquisition of veteran big man Tyson Chandler after he was bought out of the final year of his deal with the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers won their fourth game in a row Wednesday behind James' historic night. After making four straight National Basketball Association finals, they now face a disaster of a season, having lost 11 out of 13 games so far this season.

Their third date with the Blazers will mark the end of a much-needed successful homestand before they embark on a three-game trip out East.

"I haven't changed anything outwardly, but you know me".

Hopefully the Lakers won't have to find out what that looks like this season.

Seven of their 13 games have been decided by four points or less, including six of the past eight.

"The King" barged into the Top 5 of the NBA's all-time scoring list after surpassing Wilt Chamberlain in the Los Angeles Lakers' 126-117 romp of the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, November 14 (Thursday, November 15, Manila time) at the Staples Center. Lonzo Ball will continue to start, while the Lakers have James, Brandon Ingram, Alex Caruso and Svi Mykhailiuk as options at point when he is not on the floor.

The Magic went on a 21-0 run in the fourth quarter to wipe out a 16-point deficit, before Terrence Ross had a tie-breaking three-pointer in the final seconds to lift the side to a 111-106 win.

Next ahead of James on the list is Michael Jordan, with 32,292.

"I had to sit back and remind myself, 'You knew what you were getting yourself into.' This process has been good for me". "I just have to take it day-by-day, but I've been feeling pretty good about where I'm at".

James fell just short of the 75th triple-double of his career during his most impressive performance since joining the Lakers in the offseason, finishing with what CBSSports.com's Jack Maloney called "a monster stat line of 44 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks". These weren't the most creative plays nor shots born out of elegant players, but for a young player who has struggled to carve out his own corner of the Lakers' offense, it was a generally effective night with greater impact - 17 points and four assists, without a turnover.

He was reportedly limping in the locker room after the game, but told reporters he didn't expect to miss any games.
