Smuggler dropped two children from top of border wall: DHS

About 100 migrants have been deported following rush to U.S. border

A border camera captured images of a family of six illegal immigrants surmounting the wall in Arizona, with the aid of another man.

He told Fox News that Tijuana can not continue providing support for the migrants, saying the city's resources have been depleted. The migrants surrendered to agents without incident.

The new shelter is being run by federal authorities.

Asylum seekers look past the U.S. -Mexico border fence, in Tijuana, Mexico, on November 30.

Hundreds of migrants from a Central American "caravan" turned themselves in to the US Border Patrol in El Paso, Texas. "Eighty-five percent of those crossing illegally between ports of entry and all lured by the fact that our legal framework has huge gaps that create the opportunity to stay in the US while awaiting a court hearing even if they don't a lawful permission or protection claim", he continued.

This problem, according to McAleenan, stems from weak immigration laws in the USA leading migrant families to believe that they cross the border when they don't have valid asylum claims.

Tourists and visitors have been cancelling planned trips to the Mexican state of Baja California since the border crossing shut down briefly a week ago, and according to tour-friendly business owners, many fear getting trapped in Mexico should the crossing close again, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Sunday. USA officials said agents had been wounded or hit by migrants throwing stones.

Some migrants, however, were reluctant to head to their new facility. Dozens of migrants interviewed by The Associated Press have said they are fleeing poverty and violence back home. The withdrawal of the city's authorities comes at the behest of Tijuana's mayor, Juan Manuel Gastelúm, who has repeatedly said he will protect Tijuana from disruptions from the caravan.

Frustrated and exhausted after weeks of uncertainty, many migrants have become desperate since getting stuck in squalid camps in the Mexican border city of Tijuana.

The near-4,000-person estimate for those who have died or gone missing counts 1,573 more people than previous estimates calculated by the United Nations.

But it is still crowded. Those individuals were also apprehended and taken into custody "for appropriate processing", he told Fox News' Bill Hemmer.
