The Packers, who have struggled to a 4-7-1 record so far this season, fired McCarthy on Sunday after a loss to the lowly Cardinals. Although it's now unknown whether Wilson's dismissal came (at least partly) because of his tweet on the team's coaching search, a follow-up posted Tuesday night seems to suggest that might be the case.

"I don't need to respond to every pundit out there", Rodgers said at his locker Wednesday.

Moss had been a coach under Mike McCarthy during the former head coach's entire Packers tenure. "The basis, like I said, was built on mutual respect and communication".

Packers interim head coach Joe Philbin said that it wasn't easy to let associate head coach Winston Moss go from the coaching staff, but that he came to the decision because he "just didn't feel like the fit right now was where it needs to be".

Patriots owner Robert Kraft took a page out of coach Bill Belichick's media playbook when asked about the latest head coaching rumors involving offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels definitely knows all about football, and he could accomplish big things in Green Bay, especially with a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers.

The decision to fire Moss was strictly Philbin's, but it was supported by team president Mark Murphy and general manager Brian Gutekunst. See the team's official statement, here.

"And then obviously just sequencing the calls the right way and hopefully they work when we call 'em".
