The UN and European Union have condemned Hezbollah's actions and expressed support for Operation Northern Shield.

The IDF located a second Hezbollah terror tunnel and called on the LAF and UNIFIL to destroy it.

On Tuesday, the Israeli military announced an operation against what it said were Hezbollah infiltration tunnels.

Netanyahu said the tunnels were big enough to be used by motorcycles, small vehicles and groups of people.

Meanwhile, John Bolton, the US National Security Advisor defended the Zionist regime movement against the Hezbollah cross-border tunnels. "What we are doing with Hamas and with Hezbollah as well - we're doing everything we need to do".

Israeli soldiers gather by an army vehicle at the Lebanon-Israel border wall near the site of an Israeli excavation site for reported cross-border Hezbollah-dug tunnels, December 5, 2018. UNIFIL's commander, Dick Cole, is in close contact with all the Lebanese armed forces and the Israeli army, and wants all sides to maintain calm.

The terror tunnels are just a single piece of Iran's increasingly provocative military intervention across the Middle East, including in Syria and Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is battling Iranian-backed rebels. But even before that, Bahrain provided a base for US naval activity in the Persian Gulf; that started in 1947. "The U.S. will continue to work with its partners" to ensure the route remains open and free of Iranian attacks.

In a statement from his office, he said Israel plans to demand a response from the worldwide community at a meeting of the U.N. Security Council called for by Israel.

Israel asked Lebanon's army and United Nations peacekeepers on Thursday to destroy a tunnel it said had been dug by the Hezbollah group across the border into what it called its territory.

"That campaign is being accompanied by a number of extremely serious acts, of which the most recent is that Israel has breached the Lebanese communications grid by hacking into the telephone network and sending recorded messages to peaceable civilian inhabitants.warning them of imminent explosions to take place on Lebanese territory that might put their lives at risk", the Lebanese complaint argued.

By the time the IDF's operation is over, Hezbollah's attack tunnels "will no longer exist", the prime minister vowed. Earlier in the week, the Israeli leader said that he asked U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to consider slapping new U.S. sanctions on the Iranian proxy.

Netanyahu is seeking to hold his governing coalition together after last month's resignation of defence minister Avigdor Lieberman over a controversial Gaza ceasefire, which left him clinging to a one-seat majority in parliament.

"We have seen only full compliance by European corporations" connected to the global financial system, Hook told the Free Beacon. "That enemy is called Iran", he said.

The resolution required Israel to withdraw forces from southern Lebanon, in addition to demanding the "disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon", including Hezbollah.
