Chelsea are in talks to make Eden Hazard the highest-paid player in their history to ward off long-standing interest from Real Madrid.

Over the past few Premier League seasons, Eden Hazard has been impressive for the Blues and he is also a target for Barcelona's La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

Real Madrid prefers the part of the amount to pay the expense of inclusion in the deal of the midfielder of the national team of Croatia MATEO Kovacic, who now plays for Chelsea on loan.

The same story goes on to claim that Kovacic is feeling good in London and is not opposed to the idea of staying at Chelsea FC on a permanent deal.

"He wants to play Champions League football - he hasn't this year - but if they can get that spot for next year and add a couple of top quality players then it can [help] change his mind". In the end, the goalkeeper left for a fee of around £35million.

Previously, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea star Eden Hazard reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Spanish champions Barcelona who are said to be ready for a deal to sign the Belgium global.

"It's up to him".

I want Eden here, of course.

This rumour has been doing the rounds for a number of months now, with the Belgium worldwide edging worryingly closer to the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Real on the other hand could offer Mateo Kavacic, who is now on loan at the London club, in a player-plus-cash-deal. However, they are likely to offer him a four-year deal if he signs in the coming months.
