Everything wide receiver Antonio Brown has said and done recently indicates he no longer wants to be a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers' organization. We're not going to release him, that's not on the table. "We don't have to make those decisions right now".

Rooney indicates that the player has still refused to return phone calls from himself, Tomlin and teammates and did not appear for the compulsory end-of-season evaluation.

It might not come as a complete surprise, but the Steelers don't expect Antonio Brown on their roster in 2019.

The new league year begins March 13, and the Steelers will likely decide on Brown's future before his $2.5-million bonus is due on March 17. Following the four-year, $68 million contract extension he signed with the team two offseasons ago, the Steelers would incur a major salary-cap hit. Sources close to Brown said the All-Pro has been frustrated with team dynamics for a while but has not mentioned the desire for a trade since the season ended. They are desperate for wide receiver help though, and Brown is the style of receiver 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan covets.

Adding numbers alone won't solve the problems the Steelers had past year, but the fact Tomlin's considering structural changes is a sign that he realizes he needs to adapt himself.

Brown missed the team's 2018 finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rooney indicated Brown's salary cap ramifications would not prevent the team from dealing Brown if that's what is best for the franchise. "We have a way to go before we feel good about that".

The cryptic tweet plays along with Brown's catchphrase, "business is boomin".

If the Steelers were to trade Brown, the price tag would likely be high, according to NFL Network.
