A tweet by Hotstar read, "Certain remarks / comments made by the guests on the episode 12 of Koffee with Karan may hurt the sentiments of our users / viewers".

A few days back, in the latest episode of Karan Johar, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul triggered a major controversy.

They were omitted from the line-up for the opening match in Sydney but now it seems they won't be in the mix even for the limited-overs tour of New Zealand beginning 23 January.

Hotstar has not issued a statement giving the reason for taking the episode off the air, but it has removed promotional pictures related to it from platforms such as Instagram.

In one of the videos, Anushka Sharma appears to be taken aback by Ranveer Singh's comment and she also added: "You don't speak to me like that". "And they were like, 'Waah, proud of you beta'". "I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move". "I said, "This, this, and this one", Talking about his parents" reaction, Pandya had said, "And they were like, 'Wah, proud of you beta'". Rahul answered saying, "up to the woman" while an outspoken Hardik said: "Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai". It's all about talent. "This was expected and I am not surprised", the off-spinner, who has over 400 Test wickets, said. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show.

Pandya has since reportedly also apologised to head coach Ravi Shastri, and former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Pandya described an incident when he took his family out for a party and they asked him which women he had a "scene" with, referring to the women Pandya had hooked up with. The two national cricketers recently faced heavy criticism for their remarks on a television show with ace filmmaker Karan Johar and have been suspended by the cricket board on the eve of the ODI series against Australia starting Friday.

"From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don't support.and that has been communicated (to the two players)", said Kohli. "That's how we are looking at it, the combinations will have to be looked at when the decision comes out and from there on we'll see what needs to be done about the whole situation".
