The teen, who is not being named, then crossed over into oncoming traffic, hit a white SUV and crashed into a light pole, police said, according to ABC4.

At 4:50 p.m. Monday, a 17-year-old girl was driving a gray truck east along Layton Parkway when she pulled her beanie over her eyes to attempt the "Bird Box" Challenge, Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman said.

"Bird Box Challenge while driving.predictable result", the Layton Police Department tweeted on Friday. Luckily no injuries, ' the post continued. It's unclear how many people were in the SUV.

The challenge has seen people being filmed doing a variety of every day things blindfolded, including walking into walls and down streets.

The "Bird Box" challenge, which has gone viral on social media, is inspired by the Netflix movie "Bird Box", starring Sandra Bullock. While nobody was injured, it's safe to say that driving a vehicle while blindfolded is definitely the opposite of a good idea. Police are recommending charges of reckless driving.

No one was injured in the crash - a relief to Netflix, which earlier this month issued a warning to fans of the film to lay off the blindfold stunts.

In the Netflix horror hit, which has inspired tons of memes and viral activity since its December 13 debut, Malorie (Sandra Bullock) resorts to blindfolding herself out of necessity (out of necessity, people!), in order to avoid any glimpse of the insanity-inducing evil menace that stalks her every step.
