According to three police reports obtained by TMZ, 21 Savage was pulled over by Atlanta police on Sunday (February 3rd) after driving across a sidewalk in an attempt to get onto another street.

21 Savage is now detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), after they discovered he is a British citizen living in the United States illegally. According to the police report, 21 was driving recklessly and nearly slammed into a fully-marked police vehicle, and cops are saying that's the reason why he was pulled over. Since then, Jay Z, along with Roc Nation, has reportedly hired a lawyer for Savage to help with his case.

21 Savage, whose name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was born in London. There was also a styrofoam cup containing an unknown substance.

As we reported, the musician - who was reportedly born on the island of Dominica, a British colony - was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials for allegedly overstaying his visa, and is reportedly being prepared for "possible removal from the U.S".

Alex Spiro, the NY attorney who at one time represented rap mogul Jay-Z, has taken on Abraham-Joseph's case at his famous client's request this week.

Jay-Z told Billboard the arrest of his fellow rapper is "an absolute travesty", and the hashtag #Free21Savage has been making the rounds as well.

Law firm Kuck Baxter Immigration released a statement earlier this week saying U.S. officials have known about Abraham-Joseph's immigration status since at least 2017 when he sought a new visa, and while that application is pending the rapper should not be subject to detainment.

He has applied for a U visa, designed for victims of crime who have suffered "substantial abuse" in the USA, after his lawyers said he survived a shooting in 2013.

Abraham-Joseph is the father of three children born in the US and is known in his longtime home of Atlanta for supporting local community projects, such as an annual school supply giveaway at the beginning of the school year.

ICE has claimed that is when he came to the country for the first time at the age of 12.
