MSU's "Pink Out" to raise awareness about breast cancer is sold out.

Mississippi State pulled ahead two and a half minutes into the contest with a 4-0 run, but freshman Jazmine Massengill answered by knocking down an eight-foot jumper in traffic and Zaay Green followed it up with a trey to tie the game at nine all. The Bulldogs earned their 25th-straight SEC regular-season victory in the game.

Despite a week of rest to prepare, the Tennessee Lady Vols' three-game winning streak came to an end in embarrassing fashion Sunday. Their run is now the fourth-longest streak in the nation.

But then here we are, mid-afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, and Vic Schaefer's Bulldogs just polished off the proud Lady Vols 91-63 before 10,021 at The Hump. Ball movement was terrible all the way around, and it was the biggest killer in the game. Meme Jackson was off, but if she gets her form back and everybody else stays consistent, there are some positive things to build off of when Westbrook returns. Bre'Amber Scott capped a 6-0 run with a basket for a 38-28 lead. "They have a great inside game and guards who are super quick". Their next game against Alabama seems winnable on paper, but the Crimson Tide have already beaten the Bulldogs once this season, meaning a loss here could be the start of a losing skid at the absolute worst time.

Mississippi State wraps up a three-game homestand against Alabama on Tuesday.

Tennessee, now 15-8 and 4-6, was matching State basket for basket and trailing only 51-47 with four minutes to play in the third quarter.

Schaefer said his seniors should remember that as game as do director of scouting/video coordinator Dominique Dillingham and student assistant Ketara Chapel.

On Saturday, they play host to the No. 5 Wildcats in a key SEC battle that is key for both teams. Lady Vols coach Holly Warlick believes the Bulldogs are as unsafe a team as there is in women's basketball. They are the only team to play in every tournament since it began in 1982. "(Teaira) McCowan is so strong inside.

Kushkituah shed a bulky knee brace during the LSU game and finished the day with 14 points and eight rebounds. The whole team, they're athletic, shoot the three. McCowan had her 58th career double-double and 19th this season.

The challenge that Schaefer has issued to his team is to get them all on the same page at the same time.

Schaefer said MSU spent all of its practice Friday working on offense.

The Kentucky Wildcats were considered by many to be the best team in the country entering the season, but after getting blown out by Duke in the Champions Classic and getting beat by Seton Hall in overtime, those lofty expectations were being questioned.

The Bulldogs were ranked in the top four nationally in the three previous meetings to this one.

"We've got some really talented kids", Schaefer said.

"I think they have a great opportunity", Warlick said.

Schaefer said the Bulldogs better be ready because they will face an opponent that according to ESPN.com's Charlie Creme in one of the last four teams into the NCAA tournament.

"I never do that, but I knew how hard this game was going to be", Calipari said.

Look, the biggest problem for this blowout was no Evina Westbrook. "You can't make a lot of mistakes".

"I don't see any reason they can't compete for a [national] championship", Tennessee coach Holly Warlick said.
