Five people found shot dead inside Texas home

"Troopers from the Texas Highway Patrol and deputies arrived on scene discovering multiple victims from apparent gunshot wounds", said Sheriff Ken Hammack via his Facebook page for the sheriff's office. Officials confirmed five people were found dead at the home.

Lyons identified the victims as 27-year-old Ashley Delaney, her 54-year-old husband Randy Horn, their 15-month-old child and Delaney's in-laws, 74-year-old Carlos Delaney and 72-year-old Linda Delaney.

Lyons described the crime scene as "horrific".

Ashley Delaney's mother was found alive and locked in a bedroom, according to Lyons.

The sheriff's office said an investigation remains underway. She told authorities she hid in a bedroom and wasn't hurt. She is the one who called the cops at around 10:30 a.m.

Investigators have not labeled the incident a murder-suicide, however, they say they are not looking for any suspects.
