In the last five races (only going back that far because of all the vehicle and team changes since then) the average starting spot for the eventual victor has been 11.6 with the last victor from the pole being Denny Hamlin in 2014 and no one winnings from P2-P8 in that span (though they've been close). Seven-time Cup Series champion crew chief Chad Knaus leads his No. 24 team.

Jimmie Johnson earned the win in the Advance Auto Parts Clash on Sunday.

The points this week will be far lower than standard races since it's only 75 laps long and that means there's a total of 56.25 bonus points in DK available across the field and in FD there are just 15 points for laps led and laps completed total.

After the race was called, Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass was the first to inform that Jimmie Johnson had been declared the victor.

With this in mind, Meendering knows the HMS team is still a tight group of talent.

Bowman finished 17th previous year from the No. 1 spot.

The 20-car field was comprised of drivers who won a Cup pole in 2018, former Clash winners who competed full-time in 2018, former Daytona 500 winners who competed full-time in 2018, former Daytona 500 pole winners who competed full-time in 2018, and drivers who qualified for last year's Cup playoffs. I think it was more a racing thing than anything.

The race only featured 20 cars and was shortened due to rain. That's a big thing to being able to go to the racetrack and execute.
