"We're going to be opening up the labour forces because we have to".

Being the USA president is a tiring task - countless meetings, calls, emails, policy-making sessions and ceremonies come and go daily. I mean, you've really put a big investment in our country.

Donald Trump has attracted worldwide attention once again, after calling Apple chief executive Tim Cook "Tim Apple" to his face.

A video clip shows Trump addressing Apple's CEO as "Tim Apple".

President Trump talks to Apple Inc.

The Twittersphere reacted after a Wednesday White House meeting where the U.S. president thanked "Tim Apple" for the tech giant's investments and job creations. If he was Tim Apple, then what about Jeff Amazon and Mark Facebook?

While this predictably brought scorn from the media, it's something we can all welcome wholeheartedly.

It's possible that the apparent gaffe could actually be a case of awkward phrasing.

Cook Apple instead. Additionally, Mr. Apple is known for his liberal views; views which have often contrasted with those of the President. And in March a year ago he famously referred to Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson as "Marillyn Lockheed" while standing beside her.

Donald Trump trended on internet on Thursday, once again for wrong reasons. "And we want them to come in legally".

The White House, which live-streamed the meeting on its official website, has since transcribed the apparent slip-up as Trump saying "Tim-Apple".

That's not wholly surprising for Apple, which famously prefers its own devices and software over others.
