Woman Wins The Lottery 30 Times In One Day

Some people go their whole lives without winning the lottery, but not Deborah Brown.

Deborah Brown, of Richmond, said she kept seeing the numbers "1-0-3-1" throughout the day, and made a decision to stop at a gas station in Chesterfield County to purchase 20 of the $1 Pick 4 tickets on February 11.

On Feb. 11, Brown watched the late-night Pick 4 drawing, and was taken aback when her numbers hit.

The odds of matching all four numbers in order are 1 in 10,000, the agency said.

The New York Daily News reports Deborah Brown accomplished the improbable feat after she bought 30 Pick-4 tickets with the same combination. Later that day, much to her surprise, "1-0-3-1" was read out as the winning sequence - and she netted a $150,000 check. She recently picked her check for $150,000. On a hunch, she chose to buy an additional 10 tickets.

In fact, the top prize for $1 play is $5,000.

"I almost had a heart attack", Brown said, according to a statement from Virginia Lottery.

"She bought all her tickets at Irongate Shell located at 6437 Iron Bridge Road in Chesterfield County", a Virginia Lottery spokesman said. "Ms". Brown said she might renovate her home but doesn't have any set plans on what she'll do with her winnings.
